| From the parking area ascend on to the old railway embankment and turn left. Walk along the railway line for about 200 yards to a bridge over a stream. A few yards after the bridge turn right to go through a field gate to a large riverside field. Walk down along the field for 500 yards to a gate at the bottom end after which you will come to a tarmacced lane. |

| (Note that the right of way shown on the OS map in incorrect))Turn right on to the minor road and cross over the river bridge.Turn left at the end of the bridge, look for the path up into the woodland, and walk 100 yards, ascending through the woodland, until you come to a field. Cross the pedestrian gate into the field and walk along the left hand edge of the field going through a gate after about 250 yards and a double gate feature after a further 200 yards. Go through the gates and after 20 yards there is a pedestrian gate in the fence on the left. |

| Turn left through the pedestrian gate and walk downstream along the river bank for just over 350 yards until you see a gate on your right. |

| Go through the gate and look for the gate into the track which goes left above the field on your left which has a small caravan site beyond it. Follow the track 300 yards around and upwards to the small settlement ; then around and down to the river bridge. |

| Keeping to the same side of the afon Ystwyth, follow the tarmacced track, marked bridleway, for 300 yards then turn left at the Y junction. From this point follow the track for the 1.7 miles to the A487 trunk road at Llanfarian |

| At Llanfarian cross the A487 road and turn right for a few yards before turning left into an access road, named Bryn Eglur, into a fairly recent housing development. At the end of the road keep to the right right to go onto a tarmac track which serves cyclists as well as walkers. Follow the track down to the metal gates at the bottom of the valley.On emerging on to the tarmacced lane turn left, on to the river bridge after 40 yards. |

| Immediately after the bridge look to your right for the gate into the path following the bank of the river. Walk along it until you arrive at the bridge over the Ystwyth at the northern end of Tanybwlch beach. At this bridge you will see the Ystwyth river entering the sea after its journey down Cwm Ystwyth which you will have walked . |

| From the harbour bridge, walk landward for a short distance until you come to the Aberystwyth Sailing Club building. Walk in fornt of this building to find a path into the Marina area. Walk through this area to the main road, turn left at the main road to return to the centre of Aberystwyth |
